In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit. Amen.
While it is true that our beloved country was founded in liberty, it is further true that our blessed United States of America was founded on the blood of the warriors who gave their lives and their livelihood for an idea, for a cause, for freedom.
O most Wonderful and Almighty Father, to continue our freedoms we have had to call on the many warriors, both willing and reluctant, to face down the evil tyrants of the Earth. In Your wisdom and mercy You blessed them with the various abilities necessary to accomplish their task.
We ask You again, O God of the Cosmos, to allow us to honor all the Veterans for whom this Memorial was constructed. For all the brave warriors whom You have taken to Yourself we give You humble and hearty thanks. For those You have appointed to live among us we praise Your Holy Name.
O Holy Spirit of God, fill us with a full measure of Grace, that we never abuse the freedoms given to us with the lives, and broken bodies of the warriors. Keep us humble in the knowledge that even now there are so many brave men and women standing the ground between our shores and the evil that desires to destroy us. Fill the present day warriors, with a full measure of Your comfort that living or dying they are able to stand in the knowledge of Eternal Life.
O God the Son, on the Cross Your innocent blood flowed for the sins of us all. Your Holy blood fell to the earth and now it has mingled with the blood of our brave warriors those who answered our call to protect and defend us. Make us never to be content with the shedding of blood, while yet always thankful that in Your blood we received salvation and in the blood of the warriors we continue to be a people free to worship You in Truth.
O God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, keep us in health and freedom just so that we can annually return to proclaim the wonder of this Hallowed place, this Memorial to the warriors, the Veterans of the Forces of the United States of America, we are the land of the free because of the brave.
