In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
We thank You, our Dear Heavenly Father, for the privilege of being with You this Veterans Day among the wonders of this Memorial and with the fellow members of our community. As we behold the wonders of Your glory that surround us, we ask that you would draw us into communion with You and each other.
We praise you for the gift of our Veterans, those who have given their individual talents and skills to Your glory and to the help of all of humanity at home and abroad.
As we listen to the various words spoken today, make our ears attentive. Allow these words to take root and inspire each of us to lift our voices in praise of our Veterans. Help us go from this place strengthened and inspirited for our life, firm in our love of this country, The United States of America, confident in the commitment of our community, Santa Clara, California, and consecrated in our life of service to You and all people where ever they may be in Your vast Kingdom.
Lord and God of us all, it is one thing to be come out once a year in honor and praise of our Veterans. Even more, help us pool the resources of our health and wealth, our affluence and influence for the good our active duty service members as well as the welfare our Veterans.
With the faith that we are completely Yours no matter who we are or what we have done, we come into Your Holy presence. We are grateful that You have knit us together in friendship and have kindled in us an interest in the welfare of each other. We are thankful that we are together on this day, at this time. Cause us to appreciate more and more how much we need each other.
As we participate in this Veterans Day program, may each of us be drawn closer to You.
This we pray in the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
