In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit.  Amen.

Sovereign God  our Father in Heaven, over the years our troops have faced down evil in the world.  From the "Shot Heard Round The World,"  (April 19, 1775,) to the fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq, (the fight against the global war on terror,) and even to the senseless slaughter at Fort Hood, our brave men and women of the Armed Forces of the United States of America have answered the call.  Each day they come face to face with the evil that is trying to take away our the Freedom and Liberty to worship You.  Our solemn prayer is that You: the God of all that is Good, Right, and Just, would stand with our troops.  Send Your Angels to fight along side them and if their time has come, take them swiftly to life in the bliss of Your Paradise forever.

On this day, at this hour, we ask You; the God of our Fathers, the One True God of all humankind, to stand with our Veterans, those who have faced down the great evil, the Satanic forces that have risen up over the years threatening our Freedom and Liberty.  Stand with our Veterans to give them a quiet mind and the peace in their soul of a job well done.  Let them hear You say, "Well done, my good and faithful servants!"  Stir up, in those of us who have reaped the benefit of the sacrifice of their service, a constant and sincere willingness to say,
"Thank You!"

Lord, we also ask for this Memorial and any stone or cross or metal or wood that has been erected anywhere in our great land to honor our Veterans.  Please place Your Mighty Hand of protection on all the symbols erected to give honor to any Veteran of any of our battles against evil.  Especially we plead that You would change the mind of those misguided souls who are offended by a cross in the desert or a flag on the wall.

O God, on this day at this hour we ask that you would end all war.  Take the conflicts and the anger from those who would wrestle Freedom and Liberty from our hearts.  Defeat the very forces of evil that have risen in the world, cast it down into the deepest places of the ocean that evil cannot rise up to do us harm.
Yet, as we are also practical people and recognize that to destroy evil would be to destroy the work of our mind, we simply ask that you continue to keep us in Your Fatherly care until such time as You decide to bring us home to that place our Savior has prepared for us, that we would join with all those who have gone before in praising Your Holy Name.
This we pray in the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior.
   Amen.

BENEDICTION
The Lord Bless you and keep you.
The Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you.
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
   Amen.
